The 2013 Johnny Cash Music Festival is coming up August 17th in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and this year's lineup is going to feature country music legends. Acts such as Vince Gill, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers and more set to perform at the third annual event that will help fund the restoration of the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home, located in Dyess, Arkansas and support a scholarship fund established Cash's name.

Additional performers at the annual tribute to the 'Man in Black' include Joanne Cash Yates, along with show host (and Johnny's brother) Tommy Cash. The music festival will take place at Arkansas State University's Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Prices range from $37.50 to $150.00, and tickets will go on sale April 1st. Get the latest ticket information here.

Restoration of Johnny's boyhood home is already underway and the museum is expected to celebrate its grand opening in the spring of 2014. I don't believe there's any doubt that Cash certainly left a legacy deserving of this terrific memorial, and I suspect the musical landmark will attract large numbers to the small town of Dyess, which has a population of just over 500.
