Country music will have two representatives at the 2015 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Jake Owen and Jennifer Nettles will both perform during the NBC telecast. Both are expected to release new albums in 2016.

Last year, Cole Swindell was country music’s only rep, but stars like Kellie Pickler, Scotty McCreery, Rodney Atkins and Brett Eldredge have appeared in recent years. It’s not clear what songs Owen and Nettles will sing. “Real Life” is his debut single from an upcoming album. Nettles doesn’t currently have a song on the radio, but is set to star in NBC’s Coat of Many Colors on Dec. 10, and set to host CMA Country Christmas on ABC Dec. 3.

Other performers set for the Nov. 26 event include Jordin Sparks, Daughtry, Andy Grammer and Mariah Carey. In addition there will be countless floats, marching bands, clowns and performance groups. The 89th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade starts at 9AM ET.

It's estimated over three million make their way to New York City to see the parade in person, with another 50 million viewing on television. The parade is a tradition for millions of families, passed on through generations. Country music has always been included.
