It’s time for the 5th Annual Big Country Homebrewers Association Big Brew Day, this Saturday May 5th from 11am till 5pm. This year the local home-brewers are holding a fundraiser in conjunction with the Big Brew Day.

If you’d like to attend the Big Brew Day celebration and sample some of their fine homemade brewskis, the price to get in is non-perishable canned food items (to benefit the West Texas Food Bank). You’ll want to get there early though, because the big brew day national toast will take place at 12 noon sharp. The ‘Celebration’ will take place at 832 South Treadaway Blvd. Along with the beer tastings, the brewers will be holding demonstrations on how to make your own beer, mead, wine and cider.

The Big Country Homebrewers Association’s motto is “bringing beer culture to the Big Country.”

Do you think making your own beer and wine is a good idea? Would you ever consider making your own?
