The Abilene Remote Control Society will be holding their annual helicopter event this weekend. This looks like a very fun event especially if you have small children. The night flying with lights looks especially interesting.

There will be fliers from all over the Big Country and even the Metroplex. There will be skilled fliers there that, if winds permit, will be flying their mini-helicopters inverted just inches off the ground. The night flying helicopters have LED lights affixed to the them which will make it look somewhat like we've been invaded by UFO's!

  • Saturday Oct. 18 - 9:30 am (open flights begin)
  • Sunday Oct. 19 - 7:30 (flights begin)

  • Seabee Park
    off FM 600 near Ft. Phantom Lake

Cost:

  • $25 fee and current AMA license to register to participate
  • FREE to public to watch
