Abilene Issues Stage 1 Water Restrictions – What You Need to Know

Abilene Mayor, Norm Archibald, announced that the City of Abilene is now under stage 1 water restrictions. If you’re not sure what those restrictions are, we have everything you need to know.

According to the City of Abilene's website, the change allows people water once every week instead of once every other week when we were in an extreme drought. However, with Lake Hubbard at only 30% capacity and Lake Fort Phantom at 13 feet below the spillway, the city still wants us to do our part to conserve water.

Watering is allowed from midnight to 10am, and 6pm to midnight on a customers designated watering days, which you can see below.
