Abilene’s Annual Rhinestone Roundup is May 10th Featuring Legendary Johnny Lee
The Rhinestone Round-Up benefits the Taylor Co. Expo Center and takes place during the Western Heritage Classic it will be held Friday, May 10th this year. There will be lots of great food, fun and entertainment. This years headliner is the legendary Johnny Lee.
This is a huge fundraiser for the Expo Center and anybody who’s anybody will be there, so don’t be a nobody! Get your tickets now.
There is always great food and entertainment as well as mingling with all your friends and neighbors. This year’s food is from Pecan Lodge and ‘authentic cowboy delicacies’ served off the G Chuckwagon by Riscky’s of Fort Worth.
While you dine you get to listen to some great music from local musicians Mark Powell and Lariat followed by Johnny Lee. I’ve seen Johnny Lee a handful of times and he never disappoints; always puts on a great show. You will take a little stroll down memory lane with Johnny Lee as many of his hits are from the 80′s. Some of my favorites are “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, “Lookin’ For Love”, “Pickin’ Up Strangers” and “Cherokee Fiddle”.
Of course, at 8 pm you might want to sneak over and check out the Western Heritage Classic Rodeo too. There is so much going on, I guarantee you won’t be bored.
