Anthony Bourdain traveled all over the world in his role as host of CNN's Parts Unknown, but did you know he once visited Nashville and partied with Margo Price?

Bourdain visited Music City for an episode of Parts Unknown that aired in March 2017, and dining with Price was just one of the stops he made. According to Eater Nashville, he also sat down with Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age and the Dead Weather at City House for some pizza and wine. He also had some of Nashville's hot chicken Alison Mosshart, lead singer of the Kills and the Dead Weather, along with her brother, Matthew Mosshart, a professional chef.

Bourdain also had drinks at a unique combination of eatery, bar and bowling alley called Pinewood Social, partook in some classic Southern cooking and more during his time in Nashville, but one of the highlights was surely his time with Price when he visited Third Man Records.

In a recap for CNN, he recalled her as "a country music artist who reminds us what country music really is, should be and simply by virtue of playing, how far much of the rest of the country music industry has wandered from its roots."

"Her songs ain't pop tunes with a cowboy hat," he wrote. "They're coming at you from the same bar room floor, busted car, broken heart where Hank Williams, George Jones and Johnny Cash bared their souls. Real deal. And we were lucky enough to spend time with her and capture her music just as the rest of the world was catching on to how great she is."

Anthony Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room in France on Friday (June 8). He was visiting France for an upcoming episode of Parts Unknown. CNN has confirmed that his death was a suicide. He was 61 years old.

Price turned to Twitter to react to the news of Bourdain's death on Saturday.
