The Junior League of Abilene is kicking-off the holiday season with their annual 5k Reindeer Run. This event is a 5K walk/run and family fun run to benefit the Junior League of Abilene. This year the Reindeer Run is December 1st in conjunction with the Abilene Downtown Association City Sidewalks festivities. The event will kick off at the South entrance of the Abilene Convention Center.
The Beach Boys are coming back to Abilene for a special show at the Abilene Convention Center on Thursday, March 21st. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday at 10am, but you can purchase yours with our special presale password on Thursday at 10am.

The Abilene Downtown Association will be presenting the 30th annual 'City Sidewalks' in downtown Abilene November 26th through December 1st.
This year's event will run a full week kicking off the festivities on Monday with a 6pm ribbon cutting followed by the lighting of outdoor downtown displays. There are events going on everyday, and they’ll be closing out the week with the 5K Reindeer run at 9am followed by a Christmas Concert. The 14th Annual Feast of sharing, brought to us by H-E-B, will be on December 4th at the Abilene Civic Center from 4pm-8pm. This year’s meal will consist of ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, and more. And the best part is, this meal is free. There will also be live music, arts and crafts, and kids activities.
Come out to the Taylor County Historic Center for a Military Appreciation day on Sunday December 16th! All military and their families will be admitted for free, and The Historic Center will be hosting tours for military families throughout the day! They will also be showing a World War 1 documentary! The center will be open from 8am-5pm with Military families free from 12pm-5pm.
The City of Abilene Recreation and Senior Services Division is presenting a fun night out for dads, granddads, or best gentlemen and their little ladies on Thursday, February 7th at the Abilene Convention Center. Now it is pretty early to be talking about it, BUT if you purchase your tickets between November 23rd and December 15th you’ll get a complimentary stocking stuffer for Christmas!
WWE Live is coming back to Abilene on January 19th at the Taylor County Coliseum. This family-friendly event is going to be full of high-flying, high-energy entertainment and superstars like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Sasha Banks and many more of your favorite wrestlers!
The Abilene Cultural Affairs Council presents a night on the Polar Express in the Adamson-Spalding Storybook Garden. The garden will be decorated in Christmas lights. Wear your pajamas! The price to enter includes face painting, bubbles, an art activity, a light snack and frosted chocolate snow milk.
The Christmas holidays are upon us and the Celebration Singers are bound and determined to get you into the holiday spirit. Come check out their “Christmas Everywhere” concert directed by Betty Ann Blackburn on December 7th at the Paramount theater.
