Dierks Bentley‘s father, Leon Bentley, died on Friday, June 1. The singer was forced to cancel shows beforehand, and in the wake of his dad’s death, tweeted the news to fans, thanking them for their support. He also took a moment to reflect on the fact that his father was his biggest influence in country music, since his dad’s listening habits turned him onto the genre as a young kid.
In the Band Perry‘s new ‘Postcard From Paris‘ video, Kimberly and her brothers are seen hanging out in the French Quarter of New Orleans (not exactly Paris itself, but close enough, right?). The storyline-driven clip — which features minimal performance footage, save for the band singing in front of black and white “Wanted” signs and photos — shows the adorable blonde being watched by an admirer from afar. Since she is constantly flanked by her siblings, they are indirectly being watched, as well. But Kimberly is clearly the focus of the follower.
Joe Nichols and his lovely wife Heather welcomed daughter Dylan River Nichols on April 17. But they battled years of heartbreaking infertility before their bundle o’ joy arrived. The couple spoke candidly about the struggle and the highs and lows they endured in order to become parents in an interview with ‘The View.’
Teen sisters and country-pop duo Jenny and Ashley offer their acoustic cover of Carrie Underwood‘s smash ‘Good Girl,’ the debut single from ‘Blown Away.’ The sisters changed the arrangement a little, adding harmonies and stripping down the instrumentation, but for the most part, they remain loyal and faithful to the spirit and the melody of the original. So much so that Miss Underwood herself even digs it and mentioned it on Facebook.
Dierks Bentley (and all of the extras) get down and dirty in his video for ’5-1-5-0,’ the latest single from ‘Home.’ It features four wheelers, all-terrain vehicles and monster trucks being driven in a mud ditch, being chased by the very po po that Bentley sings about in the song’s chorus! Even with the cops on their tail, the riders are enjoying themselves.
In the video trailer for his new album ‘Punching Bag,’ Josh Turner gives fans an intimate, guided tour, expanding on some of the inspirations, lyrical narratives and the overall vibes of the songs that live on the record. He talks about having endurance and withstanding the inevitable punches life will throw at you –hence the title- and how he values quantity time over quality time, even though most people give lip service to the latter.
Yesterday morning (June 1), the Band Perry performed on the ‘TODAY’ show, kicking off the weekend in fine, country fashion. They treated the crowd to their multi-format smash ‘If I Die Young’ and latest single ‘Postcard From Paris,’ along with ‘All Your Life.’ They looked like they enjoyed serenading Manhattanites on a gorgeous morning, no doubt made sunnier by Kimberly Perry and her bright disposition.
We’ve got some bum-out news for Dierks Bentley fans that were planning to catch the country superstar perform after the Washington Nationals baseball game in Washington, D.C. tomorrow (June 2). The singer had to cancel the gig due to an undisclosed illness in his family.
Here’s a storyline that could have been pulled from an episode of ‘The Young and the Restless.’ A former Neiman Marcus customer is suing the high-end retailer for refusing items she attempted to return. The items were gifts that the woman’s ex-husband allegedly purchased for his mistress, who not only works as a personal shopper for the store, but was also the plaintiff’s personal shopper.
