I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as quick as I could. I'm originally from Battle Creek, Michigan (home of Tony the Tiger). I've got two kids who take up most of my time out of the office, but when I get "me time", I'm either taking in some live music or a sporting event. Since relocating, I also fell in love with the Texas music scene. I've been lucky enough to be nominated for DJ of the Year 4 straight years by the Academy of Texas Music, and was the 2009 recipient of the Academy's Palmwood Award. I'm a huge sports fan, and my loyalties are with the Michigan Wolverines, Chicago White Sox and (sorry) the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Dave Can’t Wait for Season 4 of ‘The Voice’, Even With New Blood in the Coaches Chairs
Season 4 of 'The Voice' kicks off on Monday, March 25. As a fan of the first three seasons, I've been skeptical about the fact that Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are out and Usher and Shakira are in. It just seemed to me that no good could come from changing the fantastic chemistry the four coaches for the NBC singing competition had in previous seasons. Then I saw this promo, and the excite

With the announcement of country legend Merle Haggard and the Randy Rogers Band to an already stacked lineup for the 2013 show, it's safe to say that the self-proclaimed "biggest 1-day, 1-stage event in Texas" just got bigger. This eHarmony Video Could Serve as a Reason to Avoid Online Dating
Many, many years ago, I joined an online dating site for a brief period of time. The reason I decided it wasn't for me is summed up nicely in the following eHarmony video. Laugh if you want to, but I have chosen to be sad for anyone who decides to take this girl out on a date.

I've been telling myself for several weeks that it's time to start taking better care of myself and get back into a workout routine. Joe Ely Reunited With a Guitar Stolen from Him 27 Years Ago
Joe Ely has to admit to being a very lucky man. After all, being a talented musician and being able make a career of that talent are two very good reasons for feeling lucky. Watch Whiskey Myers’ New Video for ‘Virginia’
I always look forward to hearing news about Whiskey Myers, and it's usually good news. Lead singer Cody Cannon checked in a few months back for a progress update, and a lot has been going on with the boys from East Texas since that interview. The latest on WM is about their newest single, 'Virginia'. It's already a hit on Texas charts, as the country rock ballad shows no sign of slowing down. And
