Frank Pain

Hey, I'm the dude you hear on the radio and see all over Facebook. I'm married with 2 kids and more pets than the city law allows. I have lots of tattoos and make people cry on a daily basis, aka Shay Hill. My wife makes my lunch every day and I typically drink more coffee than Juan Valdez. My back hurts.

Abilene Uses Facebook and the Power of Guilt to Help Staci Get a New Dog for Christmas

My co-worker Staci has been 'hounding' her husband Scott for quite some time about a basset hound, named Buster, that is at the Abilene Animal Shelter.

Apparently Staci has a deep love for basset hounds and stumbled across 'Buster' online and decided she just had to add this dog to their family.

Well, we (her co-workers) decided to speed up Scott's decision-making process in regards to Buster...so we resorted to the power of guilt.

Abilene Bands Set to Play Concert to Help Local Friend with Cancer

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Abilene bands are the greatest on the planet. Yes, they bicker and squabble from time to time, but who doesn't, right? But, when it's time to show strength, solidarity, and compassion, these guys and girls always step up to the plate for what's good.

Save the Brains is a benefit concert that will take place Saturday, December 1st at Billiards Backroom.

Top 10 Petitions I’d Like to Propose to the United States Government

By now, you've probably seen (on Facebook) the 'petitions' for a number of states (Texas included) requesting permission to secede from the United States. For the record, anyone can file a petition on the official White House site. You don't have to be of sound mind and body to do so.

So, in response to that ridiculousness, I have 10 petitions I'd like to propose to the U.S. government.

Steve Vai Jams with 2Cellos on AC/DC’s ‘Highway to Hell’ – [VIDEO]

Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic may not be recognizable names but the name of their group probably is, 2Cellos. You probably know them from their unique version of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' or various appearances on talk shows like Ellen and the Tonight Show.

Well, 2Cellos have now teamed up with guitar virtuoso Steve Vai on a rendition of 'Highway to Hell' that, in my opinion, is incomparable.

Colorado and Washington State Legalize Recreational Use of Marijuana, Which State is Next?

Enough of the Presidential banter, let's get down to the important stuff. Legalization of the recreational use of marijuana. The reality of the federal legalization of the recreational use of marijuana got closer as both Colorado and Washington voters approved legalizing the green for fun times.

The obvious next question is, who's next?

Abilene Weights in on Whether Teens and Seniors Should Be Required to Take Driver’s Education and Safety Courses to Maintain Driver’s License

I can't count how many times I've been on my way home, or elsewhere, and end up behind a car driven by an elderly person. I also can't count how many times that person was driving at a snail's pace or swerving all over the road in apparent confusion. Too many times than not I've witness elderly drivers in 'la-la land' while behind the wheel.

Is there an age that a person is required to prove their able to stay behind the wheel? Well, I went to you guys about it and got some great feedback.

Senior Citizens Should Be Required to Take Driver’s Education and Safety Courses to Maintain Driver’s License

Personally, I think seniors over the age of 70-75 should be required to take a a driver's education and safety course every two years; or some time within reason.
