Henry River Mill Village in the town of Hildebran, North Carolina was not a place accustomed to a lot of visitors. But all that changed last year when ‘The Hunger Games‘ was filmed there and used the setting as the post-apocalyptic district Katniss called home. The land’s current owner, an 83-year-old named Wade Shepherd, is now selling the property after the film’s success turned it into a tourist attraction, with fans coming by every day and taking photos.
Every great leader, evil dictator, rock star, even, erm, Justin Bieber, began life as a baby. Most never knew they were destined for greatness when they were very young. What we didn’t see later is the same Batman getting pulled over by Montgomery Country police because of an improper rear license plate. Turns out the bat symbol isn’t a street legal plate.
Yes, there is now a ring made entirely out of a single diamond. Conceived by Swiss jeweler Shawish, the 150-carat diamond ring was cut into shape using laser technology. But don’t pull out your checkbook just yet– Shawish calls this one of a kind ring the “ultimate treasure” and at $68 million, it comes with the ‘ultimate’ price tag as well.
