Annual Texas High School Rodeo Association Finals Comes to Abilene June 7th-14th

The 25th Annual Texas High School State Finals Rodeo, where the top high school rodeo athletes come to compete will be in Abilene beginning June 7th through the 14th. This year over 600 athletes will converge on the Taylor County Coliseum to compete for the Lone Star State title of "State Champion." Plus these kids are vying for the chance to go on to the National High School Finals Rodeo and to collect their fair share of scholarship money. The public is invited to attend.

9th Annual Clay Break Classic to Benefit the Ben Richey Boys Ranch is May 3rd in Abilene

In 2010 the organizers of the annual Ben Richey Boys Ranch Dove Hunt decided to change directions and go for a more predicable event. Some years the dove were good, in drought years the dove were scarce. When organizers convened in early 2010 they changed it to the Clay Break Classic, wherein clay targets are always in plentiful supply. The shoot is scheduled for May 3rd at Abilene Clay Sports.
