July 5, 2011 I got a page from the front desk to come up front because I had a couple of guests waiting. And what an awesome surprise, the Bellamy Boys, Jesse and Noah were standing in my lobby. They were passing through and wanted to leave me with a copy of their latest CD "Landfall". We started reminicing over the old days when they were growing up and we listened casually to the album. I was promised a return visit and the next time they said, they'll bring the entire band and come play live in Abilene.
July 5, 2011 Chord Overstreet is Glee-less. It's true, pinch yourself the unthinkable happened, Chord aka Sam on Glee is not coming back next season. Chord Overstreet, 22, and the son of Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Paul Overstreet, was on the musical cast of Glee last year he played a transfer student.
July 4, 2011 Brad Paisley has a new song out and he's taken on duet partner Carrie Underwood. I think they really sound awesome together and I predict they may do more duets in the future together.
However, Brad doesn't let the dust settle around him much as he was a guest star on Blake Shelton's reality TV show The Voice.
July 4, 2011 It's the 4thof July and it's time for hot dogs, water melon and homemade ice cream, right? While I'm at it, I still don't understand the basis of a "food eating contest", in the past I've been asked to participate and very early on, I did participated in a few eating contests.
July 2, 2011 Steve Azar has just released, "Soldier Song" and has dedicated it to all the soldiers serving and will be giving a portion of the song's profits to a very special cause the "Wounded Warriors Project." This July 4th, it seems as if there are a lot of singers and song-writers that are either writing songs for our troops or are dedicating songs or the entire albums to military enlisted. Just a few days ago I reported about the Gary Morris song "Faith and Freedom" and how he was dedicating it to everyone that is or has ever served.
July 2, 2011 The Teen Choice Awards will air on Fox TV August 7, 7:00 CT. Already the favorites are Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts and Blake Shelton. They all got multiple nods and are up for different awards.

Big Machine Records just got the naming rights for the this years race. Now officially it will be billed as the “Brickyard 400 presented by Big Machine Records.com,” It's the first time a major record company has ever signed up to present in the racetrack’s history.
June 30, 2011 Find exactly where the speed traps are with help from a website that posts the speed traps almost everywhere. First off let me clarify and/or define what I think a "Speed Trap" is. It is any stretch of road where the speed limit changes very quickly in a short span and where law enforcement sit and catch you off guard (for not slowing down fast enough) and write tickets all day and night.
Some cities have been rumored to have had officers sit at speed traps in shifts around the clock during holiday weekends catching unsuspecting speeders. Granted, drivers should always pay attention to the posted speed limit signs. However, a simple sign that says, "THIS IS A SPEED TRAP" would do more to slow traffic down in those high danger areas. Do you know of a speed trap? And where is the closest speed trap to you?
June 29, 2011 "The Voice" has a tour in the works and will feature the contestants not the coaches. It seems the show that costs NBC a ton of cash ($2.3 million per episode to be exact), cannot afford the coaches salaries or at least they couldn't come to an agreement. So, the finalists Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis will cut their teeth on the road in late summer or early fall.
