Rudy’s 2014 New Year’s Resolution is to Lose Weight and Get Fit

I've been struggling with my weight for 27 years. When Donna and first I married, I weighed 155 pounds and wore a size 30 waist pants. Today, with a little help from doctor prescribed steroids, I quit smoking, the lack of physical activity, my job and my poor late night food choices, my weight has gone as high as 337 pounds. To start my New Year off right, I am resolving to lose weight for 2014.

Joel Crouse’s New Song “Why God Made Love Songs”

Is it just me, or are there more country love songs being released now days? I can expect it from the superstars like Blake Shelton who stays a few months ahead of the seasons and/or holidays. Now add country newcomer Joel Crouse to those savvy enough to know when to release a new song like "Why God Made Love Songs." With Valentines day just around the corner I honestly believe this song will be big for Joel. It's only been out a couple weeks and it's already heating up the airwaves.

Listen to Keith Urban’s New “Cop Car” Song About the Bad Boys All Fathers Fear

Keith Urban scares me with his latest "Cop Car" song. As the father of five daughters, I know all too well what kind of boys I want my daughters to stay away from. Urban is that kind of boy in his latest tune. He and the girl get arrested for trespassing and the two fall in love in the back seat of the cop car. The chorus repeats "your daddy's going to kill me, but if I survive tonight, I wouldn't change a thing." Although the song frightens me a bit, I think it's an awesome tune check it out.

Blake Shelton Releases “Doing What She Likes” Just in Time for Valentine’s Day

Blake Shelton's latest release, from his album "Based On A True Story" has me believing that it's really based upon a true story of his life, and it's all about his relationship with Miranda Lambert . The fourth song to be released is "Doing What She Likes" and if it's not a love song about his wife I don't know what is. I do believe that Blake is a truly a romantic at heart and deeply in love with with Miss Miranda. This song comes just in time for Valentine's Day, check it out.

Brantley Gilbert Plays a Moonshine Runner in His New Video “Bottoms Up”

Brantley Gilbert's new video "Bottoms Up" is set in the late 1920's and Brantley plays the role of a moonshine runner trying to stay one step ahead of the law. The video jumps from the '20's into the 21st century when Brantley and his crew enter the party house. I really like the transition from the old costumes and wooden kegs into today's modern day attire and aluminum kegs.

The Top 5 Songs From the Winter of 2004

In the winter of 2004, a few country stars were thinking of the great outdoors. Gary Allan had "Nothing On But The Radio". Brad Paisley had me wanting to get some "Mud On The Tires". But it was newcomer Blake Shelton that had me day dreaming of "Some Beach" somewhere. Blake was so convincing, "Some Beach" was No.1 for four weeks straight. 2004 also had other amazing songs.

Rudy’s Favorite Ray Price Songs

With the passing of the legendary Ray Price, my thoughts go back to when I first heard a Ray Price song. It was at a school dance in 1975, the song came on and this was my chance to slow dance with a girl I had a crush on. I remember holding her and slowly swaying side to side to the silky smooth voice of Ray Price singing "For The Good Times". I became a Price fan for life and these are some of my favorite Ray Price song.
