"Ride For A Cure" Motorcyle Ride Benefits American Cancer Society on September 1st
“Ride for a Cure” benefit for the American Cancer Society is being organized by Heath Page for September 1st at Kent’s Harley Davidson. Heath’s sister, Jessie, was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer and has undergone chemo and radiation. Heath wanted to do something to help find a cure so others don’t have to face this. The proceeds (100%) from the ride will go to the ACS to provide services and support for cancer patients.

I watched a movie the other night that I had never heard of called “Mission to Mars” with Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins and Don Cheadle. Apparently this movie was released in 2000. It was interesting and somewhat farfetched, or so I thought at the time. It seems it is more realistic than I had imagined. I know we’ve already landed on Mars but this newest mission to the red planet is a little different in that “Curiosity” is a a robot chemist looking for signs of planet habitability.

One of my favorite reality shows, and I don’t like reality shows, is Dancing with the Stars. I think it is a well planned show. Sometimes I don’t agree with the judges decisions, but who does? I think it’s great entertainment and I love to watch stars that have never danced actually come in and surprise everyone. Well now that the show is entering it’s 800th season, it’s time for the “All-Stars” version complete with one fan voted extra.

12th Armored Division Memorial Museum Reunion and Parade To Be Held August 1-5 in Abilene [VIDEO]
The 12th Armored Division were known as the “Hellcats” during WWII. They were one of the best fighting units of the war. August 1-5 that unit will be celebrated with a reunion and parade in downtown Abilene.
