Country music fans will have no problem finding a Christmas special to watch on television this holiday season. Not long after the '3rd Annual CMA Country Christmas' broadcast was announced, Blake Shelton has chimed in to tell us his special is set to air. Shelton, the newly crowned CMA Entertainer of the Year, will go on the air with 'Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas' at 8:00pm CT on Monday, December 3rd on NBC.

Blake has had plenty of reason to be in the holiday spirit this year. His album, 'Cheers, It's Christmas' was released this year to great reviews. It features Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert and her band, Pistol Annies, Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble and Blake's mother, Dorothy Shackleford.

I think it's safe to say that most - if not all - of those featured on the CD will also make an appearance on the television special. Shelton will also welcome fellow coach on NBC's  'The Voice', Christina Aguilera, plus Jay Leno and Larry the Cable Guy for some comedy skits.

As quoted from Country Music Is Love, Shelton states:

“I love Christmas music. I listen to it year-round. I had always wanted to do a Christmas album, so getting to do ‘Cheers, It’s Christmas’ was exciting for me, and then to have NBC let me do a special around the CD, well, I still can’t believe it. I am so proud of the performances on the show, the skits are hilarious and the icing on the cake was having the opportunity to perform with my mom, a song we co-wrote together. Christmas has always been about family to me so having my mom and Miranda there, that made it Christmas.”
