Bo Bice is ready to use his talented singing voice for another form of entertainment--Broadway. Bice recently announced that he will play the lead in an upcoming production of 'Pump Boys and Dinettes.'

Bice will act in the revival of this 1980s play, which will be held at the Circle in the Square Theater. 'Pump Boys and Dinettes' will hold a preview on March 19, with the official opening date following on April 8.

The original production opened in 1981. The musical is a tribute to life in rural America, with a focus on what happens in a roadside restaurant and gas station in North Carolina. Tony award winner John Doyle, who directed 'Sweeney Todd,' will direct the revival performance.

Bice was a runner-up to Carrie Underwood on the fourth season of 'American Idol.' Even though the 'Good Girl' beat him to the prize, Bice has managed to release three studio albums and play with major musical talents like Carlos Santana, Richie Sambora, Willie Nelson and more.

Looks like his next goal is to take Broadway by storm! Follow Bice here to learn more about his upcoming role in the musical.
