Brett Eldredge and Meghan Trainor are set for an upcoming episode of CMT Crossroads, and their killer voices and endearing stage presence makes them the ideal pair.

The stars performed for a packed house at The Factory at Franklin just outside of Nashville in April of 2018 to tape an episode of the cross-genre series, combining their talents on some of the most notable songs from both their catalogs.

While there are many standout moments to witness in the upcoming special, here are five gems you have to look forward to.

Five Moments Not to Miss From Brett Eldredge and Meghan Trainor on CMT Crossroads:

Trainor's Audience Banter

Trainor's stellar voice and crisp lyrics are what consistently land her at the top of the charts, but in addition to her beloved songs, fans also love her free spirit, and she puts it on full display during the CMT special. In between takes, the pop star kept the audience entertained with her engaging sense of humor, whether trying to set an audience member up with Eldredge's guitarist (she later found out he's taken) or calling her fiancee, Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara, to serve her water onstage, the singer had the audience cracking up all night. Any of her onstage banter that makes it into the episode will be gold.

Versatility in Their Voices

Any country fan knows what a standout vocalist Eldredge is, and hearing him on a pop song gives his voice new meaning. Eldredge sings just as naturally on Trainor's hits as he does on his own, proving that he's got the talent and versatility to sing any genre. It's hard to imagine him singing a track like "All About That Bass," but he owns it, right along with "Like I'm Gonna Lose You."

Expect to be just as wowed by Trainor's vocal ability. The strength in her voice complements the soul in Eldredge's, which is evident when they come together on "Wanna Be That Song" and "Haven't Met You Yet."

Their "Islands in the Stream" Duet

Eldredge and Trainor pulled out the ultimate surprise with a cover of the iconic Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers hit. While it's a tall order to fill, the two young stars deliver a pitch-perfect rendition that would make the two legends proud, complete with a phenomenal horn section. There's an energy and enthusiasm they bring to the performance that makes it feel like they're re-defining a classic in a fresh way that fans of both genres will love.

"Let You Be Right"

Though Trainor's current single is all over pop radio, at the time of the taping, the song hadn't touched anyone's ears outside of the studio. Hearing it live is particularly special, with the horn instruments bringing out the jazz elements of the song, taking it to new heights. It's one of the most lively moments of the show, and Eldredge holds his own on Trainor's swanky track.

"Baby It's Cold Outside"

Though it may be hard to imagine getting into the Christmas spirit while the temperature outside is still blazing hot, the hitmakers accomplish just that with a rendition of the classic holiday song that first brought them together on Eldredge's Glow album. Busting out the Santa hats and snow machine, the stars create a winter wonderland with their holiday cheer and divine voices. Christmas in September never sounded so good.

CMT Crossroads airs on Monday, Sept. 3, at 10PM ET.
