Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley have each added another trophy to their cases: They received the CMA Chairman's Award on Monday (June 6).

Underwood and Paisley have been given the CMA Chairman's Award due to their dedication, integrity and creativity to the CMA namesake. The two superstars were presented the honor by former CMA Board Chairman Frank Bumstead; they were also joined by CMA Chief Executive Officer Sarah Trahern during the presentation in Nashville.

While Underwood and Paisley are two of country's biggest stars, they've also taken on another duty in recent years: hosting the annual CMA Awards show. This November, at the 2016 CMA Awards, they will share co-hosting duties for the ninth consecutive year.

“Did we tear the room apart?” Paisley says he and Underwood ask themselves. “Did they go nuts? I know that we really want that to be something that, at the end of the year, you point to as something that was something done right. It’s good for country music. I love it when somebody says, ‘You guys did as well as anyone on TV as far as that kind of role.’”

Underwood and Paisley's opening monologue in 2015 was hilarious, containing too many one-liners to count, but perhaps the most memorable monologue moment came in 2014, when Underwood announced that her first child would be a boy -- after Paisley spilled the beans during the segment.

The 50th annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville on Nov. 2 at 8PM ET.
