Carrie Underwood continues to prove to the country music world that she belongs in the same conversation with the heavy hitters in the industry. Last week, she topped the Billboard and Mediabase / Country Aircheck charts, and this week, the former American Idol champ repeated at the top of both.

The chart-topper is the title-track from the million-selling album 'Blown Away'. It follows the album's first single, 'Good Girl,' which also reached the top spot this year. With her third total week at #1, Underwood is the only female country singer to spend that kind of time at the top of the charts in 2012.

This is a good point to put Carrie Underwood's career into perspective. The sweet, seemingly humble Oklahoman has quietly carved out a megastar's resume. In seven years since being crowned American Idol in the televeision show's 4th season, Underwood has released four albums. They've all gone to #1 on the U.S. Country Chart.

Carrie has released 17 singles since her professional career started in 2005, and all but two of those singles have peaked in the top two of the U.S. Country Singles Chart. And she now has twelve #1 singles to her credit. This is an amazing run that shows no sign of stopping.

In other Carrie Underwood news, she's getting ready to her co-host the 2012 CMA Awards alongside Brad Paisley on November 1st on ABC. Carrie is also nominated in the 'Female Vocalist of the Year' category.

And let's not forget that the American Music Awards, coming up November 18th on ABC. Underwood is nominated 'Favorite Female Artist - Country' and 'Favorite Album - Country' for 'Blown Away'.
