It's not long, but fans are now getting their first taste of Carrie Underwood's new Sunday Night Football theme song. NBC has begun airing a 15-second teaser of the 2016-2017 theme, "Oh, Sunday Night."

In the short clip, Underwood stands beneath a single spotlight, in a sparkling black dress, and sings "Oh, Sunday night / Oh, Sunday night" to the tune of her and Miranda Lambert's Grammy-nominated hit "Somethin' Bad;" shots of football stadium lights, players getting ready to take the field and cheering fans are interspersed. Readers can press play above to watch the trailer.

Underwood has been singing the SNF theme since 2013, when she took over Faith Hill‘s duties, making the upcoming season her fourth as the voice of the introduction. Until this year, Underwood was singing “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night," a re-worked version of Joan Jett's "I Hate Myself for Loving You;" however, this season, "Somethin' Bad" has been revamped to be "Oh, Sunday Night" for a new opening theme.

“It has such a great stomp-clap, a “We Will Rock You” kind of feel to it,” says Underwood. “This is such a high-energy song.”

Fans will first get to hear Underwood’s 2016-2017 Sunday Night Football theme on Sept. 8 (a Thursday), when the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos face the Carolina Panthers. The game is set for 8:30PM ET on NBC.
