There are words about ethnic groups that are considered prejudice that you shouldn't say, even if you're joking. Some people say these words because they hear people from that group say them and think it's OK. Well, it's not.

2 weeks ago The "Cars 4-A Cure" car show, dance and cruise benefits the Abilene Firefighters Association's Fill the Boot campaign for MDA. The a car show will feature lots of muscle cars and will take place at the Gattis parking lot at 2668 Buffalo Gap Road, Saturday, June 15th. Prizes and trophies will be awarded that afternoon.
2 weeks ago While wasting time on Twitter I came across a tweet from Colt McCoy that caught my eye. All he said was "I watched this live. Incredible", then included a link to a video. Well, apparently McCoy and friends were on a hunting trip when one of the hunters caught a bird with his hands. That bird was in flight.
The former Jim Ned/UT star was right, it was incredible.
2 weeks ago Welcome back a friendly yet familiar voice to country music, Mark Chesnutt. I had to do a double take when I first heard the new song "When The Lights Go Out." I didn't realize how bad I missed hearing Chesnutt's voice on the radio. As Mark stages a come back, it's quite fitting that he leads off with a love song, and I think it fits him well.

In Kramer's newest release she wishes for rain, thunder, lightning and even a flood to happen during her ex-boyfriend's date with his new girlfriend. Not that she's bitter or anything, it's just the she wishes a little bad luck on her ex-man and his new girl-thing. The song is up-tempo and catchy that you'll be singing it in no time, check it out.
2 weeks ago I have several family members graduating from high school this year. As I try to keep up with who is graduating when and where. I thought I would get organized this year and put together a "graduation services list." Last year I went to the Abilene High graduation when my nephew was graduating from Cooper High School. I swore that wouldn't happen again. So, here's the list for the services that will be taking place in Abilene. That said, I'll see you there I'll be the one with the air-horn in hand.
