The Callahan 4-H Rifle Club is Hosting Their Annual Fundraiser and Dance at the Grand Ole Oplin

The Callahan 4-H  Rifle Club is hosting a benefit fundraiser and dance featuring the Muddy Creek Band. The event takes place this Friday, April 25th at the Grand Ole Oplin. There will be a silent auction, including baked goods, quilted items, jewelry and more. The funds raised will be used to assists students to, from and at shooting competitions. The benefit is open to all families, here are more details.

Global Samaritan Resources (GSR) Executive Director Danny Sims announced that former Secretary of State, Dr. Condoleezza Rice will be their featured speaker for their annual Fall benefit fundraiser. Unlike past GSR fundraisers, this will not be a dinner event but rather a lecture and discussion. According to Sims the lecture will makes it more affordable for students and military. Kiwanis of Abilene to Host the 65th Annual Pancake Day April 26th

The Kiwanis Club of Abilene is hosting their "65th Annual All You Can Eat Pancake Day and Auction" Saturday April 26th, 2014. This years event at the Abilene Civic Center is sponsored by I-Hop. I-Hop provides all the pancake batter for this event, plus some key 'I-Hop personnel' to mix up the secret recipe batter for the pancakes. The Annual Central Texas Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show is April 12th and 13th at the Abilene Civic Center.

 

The Central Texas Gem and Mineral Society (CTGMS) presents their annual Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show, April 12th and 13th, at the Abilene Civic Center. This years exhibits include raw gems and precious stones as well as finished jewelry. The show also features prehistoric fossils, rare minerals, beads and jewelry making equipment. There will be door prizes, live and silent auction items and a grand prize drawing. All proceeds benefit the CTGMS scholarship program.

The Benefit Fundraiser for 16 Month Old Addison Grace is Jan. 31st – Feb. 2nd in Abilene

 

Addison Grace is a 16 month old little girl that has been fighting to stay alive. She was born with a very rare heart defect and at 3 months old, Addison underwent open heart surgery. One month later she was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called "Fibrosarcoma" and she's still fighting for her life. A benefit fundraiser, auction and raffle has been set up to help Addison's mom and dad offset some of her medical expenses.
