The Women of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be hosting their annual 'Christmas Bazaar' on Saturday, December 1st and Sunday, December 2nd on the church property.
November 20, 2012 Understanding the 'Affordable Care Act' (ACA) especially for for people living with cancer, could take a law and/or medical degree. The Folks at Cancer Services Network are holding workshop to help you better understand the ACA, December 12th, 2012. The workshop will cover topics like; Cancer Treatment Overviews, the Costs of Cancer (direct medical costs and related non-medical costs), Daily Living Expenses and so much more. This will be a 'brown bag' luncheon workshop with drinks and desert provided.

November 18, 2012 The Brazos Forks District of the Boy Scouts will hold their annual 'Winter Camporee' in West Texas. Webelo Scouts from all over the Lone Star State will soon converge on Lake Daniel just south of Breckenridge Texas. The scouting event is set for December 7th through the 9th. Last month the 'Boy Scouts' held a camping event at the Camp Tonkawa camp just out side of Buffalo Gap Texas. This event in Breckenridge is designed to challenge scouts because of the unpredictability of the weather.
November 17, 2012 The 2012 Clyde America Merry Market is a one-day outdoor Christmas Market in Clyde, Texas. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 1st. Erica Stallings, the Clyde Chamber of Commerce Executive Director says "almost anything goes if you're a vendor, what we will not allow to be sold at our Merry Market are live animals, tobacco or alcohol." While just about anything else is fine to display and sell Erica said "it's still a Family event."

November 8, 2012 The 14th annual Mission: Thanksgiving will be held Friday, November 16th at Arrow Ford, 4001 South 1st Street in Abilene. This is an amazing one-day event that brings the community together for a common cause: to help the less fortunate in Abilene, with contributions going to Loving Care Ministries. Several items, including clothes, food, sleeping bags and blankets, personal hygiene items and winter accessories, or cash donations will be accepted.
