West Texas Boy Scouts Bring ‘Winter Camporee’ to Lake Daniel Near Breckenridge, Saturday Dec. 7th – 9th

The Brazos Forks District of the Boy Scouts will hold their annual 'Winter Camporee' in West Texas. Webelo Scouts from all over the Lone Star State will soon converge on Lake Daniel just south of Breckenridge Texas. The scouting event is set for December 7th through the 9th. Last month the 'Boy Scouts' held a camping event at the Camp Tonkawa camp just out side of Buffalo Gap Texas. This event in Breckenridge is designed to challenge scouts because of the unpredictability of the weather.

The 2012 Clyde America Merry Market is a one-day outdoor Christmas Market in Clyde, Texas. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 1st. Erica Stallings, the Clyde Chamber of Commerce Executive Director says "almost anything goes if you're a vendor, what we will not allow to be sold at our Merry Market are live animals, tobacco or alcohol." While just about anything else is fine to display and sell Erica said "it's still a Family event."
