January 15, 2013 In a recent survey about the video game 'Hitman: Absolution', the results showed that about 89% of the parents polled, believe that violence in the video game was a huge problem. That's not really that surprising considering that particular game is rated M, for 'mature' and is not meant for kids. In any case, I wanted to see what you thought about video games and violence.
Though HBO will surely have itself a productive weekend these next few days, we're still more than two months away from the hotly anticipated premiere of 'Game of Thrones' season 3! We've seen one enticing teaser thus far, though admittedly light on new footage or details to go on. Now, to commemorate the 'Girls' and 'Enlightened' premieres this weekend, HBO has issued a new 'Game of Thrones' season 3 preview, and it's...well, there's a three-eyed raven! And a song! Cryptic 'Game of Thrones' teases await inside!
It's no secret we're pretty big into video games and the whole idea of bringing some of the fan favorites to life on the big screen. With Ghost Recon, Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex, Need for Speed and God of War as the latest ones to start preliminary motions for their companion movies, we still have our own list of bestsellers we'd like to see join in on the action, one of which is definitely Call of Duty. However, if you're holding out to see this particular video game hit theaters, you might be waiting for a real long time... like, forever!
While our weekend COD and pizza binges are always a good time, it's also nice to have interactions with other humans sometimes. At least that's what we've heard. If you love video games and aren't paralyzingly agoraphobic, arcades are a good time. Sadly, we lose more of them every day, but this one in Colorado is alive and well, and worth the trip.

The company experienced continued success with its best-selling games, like Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell, both of which were also announced to receive the big screen treatment. Fortunately for fans of the video game movie genre, Ubisoft has big plans for this venture into film, recently announcing the next big gaming sensation to eventually hit the theaters -- Ghost Recon.
