He released the song minutes after the new year began, leaving many to wonder when a new album will follow (no plans have been announced). Sonically, his 23rd radio offering is a continuation those from 'Red River Blue' -- it'd fit nicely as the project's fifth single.

My first impression of him was that his long-haired, bearded, rough appearance could easily have him mistaken for an extra in the movie "Young Guns". When we met, Kent was promoting his radio single, "My Girl", that would be appearing on his self-titled CD several months later.
December 28, 2012 Jason Aldean doesn't seem to be missing a beat in his music career. Each of his first four CD's have made the top 10 on the country music album charts, with two peaking at #1. His last ten single releases have reached either #1 or #2 on the U.S. country singles chart. The latest #1, 'Take A Little Ride' comes off his 5th CD, 'Night Train', so one can only expect that Aldean's success and accolades will continue to mount.

Some good movies inspire endless repeat viewings. I've seen 'Citizen Kane' several dozen times; I've watched 'Ghostbusters' at least twice that. Then there are other good movies for which one viewing is enough for an entire lifetime. Films like 'Requiem For a Dream' and 'Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom' are powerful works of art -- perhaps too powerful and too overwhelming in their depictions of death, misery and human cruelty to endure more than once. 'Amour,' the new film from Michael Haneke, falls into the latter category. I am glad I saw it -- and hope I never see it again.
