Sometimes, it's all too easy for an illustrator or a cover artist who has hit a huge creative block to use a picture of a celebrity as their guide for young adult novels. Plus, the celebrity lookalikes will help sales too, especially if it's a popular actress such as 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke. While some are more subtle, the following book covers are a loving "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" to fans who may be swayed to purchase a book with a Kristen Stewart lookalike on the cover.

Angelina Jolie and 'The Vampire Academy' by Richelle Mead

Mead's cover artist definitely agrees with us: Jolie in her youth would've made an awesome vampire. So we're not surprised to see that the girl on the cover looks startlingly like Angelina. With Mead's books dealing with awesome, butt-kicking women (both human and half-vampire), a nod to Angelina Jolie is not at all surprising. 'Lara Croft: Vampire Princess' anyone?

Pauly Perrette and 'Radiant Shadows' by Melissa Marr

Most fans of Melissa Marr's half-human, half-Hound character of 'Ani' know she was named for the singer Ani Di Franco, but this cover looks surprisingly like Pauly Perrette, who is best known for playing the goth forensics specialist Abby Sciuto on 'NCIS.' The model's black hair and punk-rock vibe make her an obvious doppelganger for Perrette.

Mandy Moore and 'Wither: Chemical Garden' by Lauren DeStefano

The woman on the cover for DeStefano's novel is a dead ringer for pop singer Mandy Moore. If anyone has ever seen 'A Walk to Remember', it's obvious that the model was made to look like Moore's character in the movie. They share the same bone structure, medium-to-light brown hair and the same complexion. The only difference is that the model has a mop of curly hair that the '70s would be proud of. Who knew that the frizzy look would make a comeback in a novel about a  dystopian future?

Clémence Poésy and 'The Indigo Spell: A Bloodlines Novel' by Richelle Mead

Mead's cover artist seems to be a huge geek: first Angelina Jolie and now Clémence Poésy? Her latest 'Bloodlines' novel features a woman who looks a heck of a lot like the French actress. Poésy, who is best known for playing Fleur in the 'Harry Potter' movies, shares many of the same attributes as the model: thin, chiseled face, ice-blue eyes and long blonde hair. We see what you did there, Mead! It's a good way to draw some of the 'Potter'-ites in too.

Anne Hathaway and 'Shut Out' by Kody Keplinger

Keplinger's cover model could be Anne Hathaway's twin sister, except for the fact that her eyes are blue and Anne's are a deep brown. They have the same delicate bone structure, the same nose, and the same eyebrows too. What's even creepier is that you don't see the model's hair, which is highly reminiscent of Anne's new cropped pixie 'do that she sported for the role of Fantine in 'Les Misérables.' Such a shame that Anne would be too old for the starring role if they ever adapted this book into a movie; she would be perfect if she was a little younger!

Do all the Young Adult authors watch 'The Vampire Diaries' or what? Higgin's cover features a young blonde woman who is a dead ringer for Candice Accola, who plays the airhead-turned-awesome-vampire Caroline on the hit CW show.

Amanda Seyfried and 'The Blessed' by Tonya Hurley

Creepy-looking makeup aside, the big blue eyes and straight blonde hair makes us think that this model was based off of Amanda Seyfried. Heck, if the cover artist had used a more Victorian-looking dress and curled her hair, she would've been a dead ringer for Seyfried as adult Cosette from 'Les Miserables.' Well played Hurley, well played!

Kristen Stewart and 'Blood Moon: The Drake Chronicles' by Alyxandra Harvey

Seems like every Young Adult novel is trying to cash in on the 'Twilight' craze, but Harvey's cover artist took it a step further by clearly using Kristen Stewart as inspiration. The pose between the Stewart-lookalike and the love interest is reminiscent of Bella and Edward; plus her hair is styled exactly the same as Kristen's in the first 'Twilight' movie.

Scarlett Johansson and 'The Pearl Savage' by Tamara Rose Blodgett

Johansson's pouty lips and big eyes are part of her signature look, and it is so obvious that she was the inspiration behind the cover art for Blodgett's book. The model has the same pouty lips and wide eyes; the only difference is that her eyes are a bright green and her hair is bright red. Perhaps they were going for a 'Scarlett Johansson as The Little Mermaid' look?

Armentrout must be a huge fan of the CW's 'Supernatural' because the male model on her book's cover looks almost exactly like Jared Padalecki. He's got the scruff, the chiseled cheekbones and the hazel puppy-dog eyes too.
