A manhunt in Mount Juliet, Tenn., forced Charlie Daniels' fan club party into lockdown on Wednesday (June 6). The lockdown was a precaution, for safety purposes, but some fans who had left the building were unable to get back into the party.

According to WSMV, the Wilson Country Sheriff's Office was searching for Thomas East Adams, who had allegedly shot his wife Jessica Adams in the abdomen during a domestic incident in the Nashville suburb. Jessica Adams died from her injuries, while Thomas Adams died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after hours of negotiations with law enforcement officers.

Because Daniels' fan club party was taking place in the area of the manhunt, organizers were asked to lock down the building. A tweet from Daniels around 9:45PM ET apologized to the fans who had briefly left the party and then could not get back inside.

Luckily, everyone inside Daniels' fan club party was safe, and the party was able to continue during the lockdown. A Twitter video from Nash Icon radio DJ Lisa Manning shows Daniels performing for the invited fans.

Numerous fan club parties will be taking place in the Nashville area this week (June 3-10), during the 2018 CMA Music Festival. The four-day event runs through Sunday (June 10), with numerous stages' worth of music throughout downtown Nashville.
