This recipe is easy and really good, in fact I've made it twice in the last 2 weeks. My guys requested it the other night so I decided to try it, I had never made this before, it was so good I had to make it again last night. I figure if they enjoyed it that much you might as well. So here you go!

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. hamburger meat
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 bag frozen or fresh mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 tsp. celery salt
  • 1 Tbl. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbl. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • salt/pepper to taste

In a large bowl mix together your hamburger meat, celery salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt & pepper and about 1/2 cup chopped onion. Form into patties and fry.

While your patties are frying you can slice the remainder of your onion into very thin slices, you will be sauteing these and your mushrooms (if you choose). Once your patties are almost done add in your onion slices and brown them.

Once the onions/mushrooms are browned drain them and place in a bowl, you will add these to your brown gravy.

As for the gravy, I cheated and took the easy route. I used the packaged kind that you just add water too. Hey it's called working smarter not harder!

I added some sauteed vegetables as a side along with some new potatoes.

Add all of this together for a dang good meal. And it doesn't take too much time to make either, which is the best part.
