Chris Young and Cassadee Pope turned in a stellar duet at the 2016 ACM Awards, wowing the audience in Las Vegas with a strong rendition of their current hit, "Think of You."

Young was dressed in a simple, classic look, all in black, while Pope opted for a very flashy presentation, clad in a form-fitting, sparkly gold catsuit that showed off her well-toned body to great advantage. The singers displayed the same vocal chemistry that has turned the track into a fast-breaking single at country radio, keeping their focus on each other and playing off the other singer closely as they sang.

Young released the song in January as the second single from his current album, I'm Comin' Over, whose lead single and title track reached No. 1. It's a change of pace for Young, who admits the recording could have turned out very differently.

“It’s tough to get duets,” he explains to Taste of Country. “Even when you get a duet and you write it correctly it’s tough to get the right duet partner with the other person.”

On top of that, “There’s not a lot of female voices in country music that you can really pull from, and even those that you could at the time, Miranda [Lambert] and Carrie [Underwood] had just done a duet together, there’s a lot of space taken up there."

But when Young heard Pope while they were on the bill together at a show, he knew she was the right voice for the female part.

“I love how she sings, I love how she sounds. I was really glad she wanted to do it," he adds.
