Cole Swindell has just dropped a brand new song off his upcoming third studio album. Readers can press play below to hear "Somebody's Been Drinkin'," a slow-rolling play-by-play of the rekindling of an old romance late at night. With his trademark drawl and relatable lyrics, Swindell highlights a text conversation between ex-lovers who find themselves on the same page a few drinks in.

"First one came at 10:35 / Hey whatcha doing? / 11:15 are you alright? / Did you finally get moved in? / 12:18 I miss you / 12:36 wish I could kiss you / One more time / Lay on your shoulder / 1:09 can I come over?" the first verse lays out the progression of reminiscing via text.

"Somebody's been drinkin' / And got to thinkin' bout us / It's just the cherry bombs talking / When you're hitting me up / I got a fire in the backyard / Half a bottle of Goose / And a spot on my shoulder / So baby come on over / Somebody else has been drinking too." The chorus delivers a predictable end to the conversation.

"Somebody's Been Drinkin'" follows the release of "Break Up in the End," the first taste of Swindell's new album and the latest in a string of chart-topping hits. In February, Cole Swindell kicked off his first-ever headlining Reason to Drink Tour. Swindell has not yet shared the title of his upcoming third album, although he has hinted that Reason to Drink -- the title of one of the songs on the record as well as the name of his tour -- is in the mix as far as potential album titles go. He has also shared that the project will include a throwback '90s-style party anthem, as well a song that, like his chart-topping hit "You Should Be Here," will pay tribute to his late father.
