Break out the wine!  Bill Lawrence and Courteney Cox-starring comedy ‘Cougar Town‘ fans can officially rest easy that their beloved series will have a new home after the current season.  And considering all the shuffling the show has been through, and even stars speaking out about ABC’s handling of the series, the decision didn’t come a moment too soon.

As previously reported, the folks at TBS had been eying a pickup of the wine-soaked single camera comedy ‘Cougar Town’ for two fifteen-episode seasons, taking over for ABC after the broadcast network continually shuffled around the series through various time-slots and delayed season 3 until mid-season.  ‘Cougar Town’ marks the second of creator Bill Lawrence’s network sitcoms to swap channels during its run, the first when ‘Scrubs‘ moved to ABC from NBC for an eighth season.

“Cougar Town is a smart, whimsical sitcom that draws its humor from likable, relatable characters” said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies (TCM). “We are thrilled to have Cougar Town moving to the TBS neighborhood as the network continues to expand its slate of original comedy series.”

‘Cougar Town’ will find itself among TBS’ continued grab for original programming, joining new Danny Masterson-starring buddy comedy series ‘Men at Work‘, July-debuting ‘Sullivan & Son,’ a new sitcom starring comedian Steve Byrne and executive-produced by Vince Vaughn, and later this year ‘Wedding Band,’ a new scripted comedy series starring Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau, and Melora Hardin.

Season 4 of ‘Cougar Town will begin airing on TBS in 2013, which for those unaware stars ‘Scrubs’ vet Christa Miller, Brian Van Holt, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins and Busy Philipps. The series follows Courtney Cox as Jules Cobb, recently divorced mother struggling with the challenges of a new chapter in her life. Jules spends much of her time enjoying wine with her group of friends known as the “cul de sac crew.”

What say you?  Are you relieved to have a fourth season of ‘Cougar Town’ in the works, even on another network?  Pour yourself a glass of red, and tell us your troubles in the comments below!
