Country Music Legend T.G. Sheppard Hospitalized [VIDEO]
T.G. Sheppard has kept a pretty event-filled schedule this year, but it appears that is all about to change. The 68-year old country music legend was admitted to the hospital over the weekend, after a performance at the Reunion of Professional Entertainers awards on October 11th.
According to his wife, singer/songwriter Kelly Lang, via Facebook, Sheppard has been suffering from a bladder infection.
“Update on TG: He was admitted in ICU with bladder infection that has caused extreme high heart rate. He is very weak and they are trying to keep his heart rate down, but it has been a challenge. Long night for sure. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. Love, Kelly”.
T.G. Sheppard spend plenty of time in the 1970’s and 80’s on the country music charts, with a total of 14 number 1 hits, including ‘Devil in the Bottle’, ‘I Loved E’m, Everyone’, ‘Smooth Sailin” and ‘Slow Burn’.
Sheppard – as long as his health will allow – is scheduled to play some pretty high profile shows in the coming months, including a campaign event for Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney. No word yet as to whether Sheppard will be healthy enough to play. We wish T.G. all the best, and a full recovery.
