Dallas Davidson, songwriter of Luke Bryan's hit song "That's My Kind of Night" broke his silence and spoke up regarding Zac Brown's criticism. Davidson who's a three time Songwriter of the Year award winner told Roughstock.com “A comment like that will hurt your feelings because when you write a song, it’s kind of like one of your babies".

Davidson said "to hear a successful artist say it was the worst song he’s heard and it makes him want to throw up, that’s just not cool. I’m sure a lot of stuff like that has been said behind closed doors, and everybody has their right to their opinion, but to come out and publicly dog a song, the artist and the songwriters, to me, is just unacceptable and it’s not nice".

Dallas continued "there is room in Country music for all styles, including that of what the Zac Brown Band brings to the table".

Dallas Davidson also wrote songs like "If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away" by Justin Moore, "Boys Round Here" by Blake Shelton, "Just a Kiss" and "We Owned the Night" by Lady Antebellum, "I Don’t Want This Night to End" by Luke Bryan and "Gimme That Girl" by Joe Nichols.

What I think is funny about this whole controversy, is that it doesn't matter what is said, the song in hot demand by country music fans. So much so that it's nearing platinum-selling status and continues to climb the charts.

So what is your take on this whole thing?
