Dark Twisted Fantasy: The ‘Kanye Wes Anderson’ Mash-Up Meme

What do Wes Anderson (screenwriter/director) and Kanye West (rapper/headline-maker/face-on-dartboards-across-the-nation) have in common? On the surface, maybe not much, but if you drop the ‘T’ from West’s last name, now maybe we have something to talk about.

The web has been set afire this week by a new set of ‘Kanye Wes Anderson’ memes, mashing up the rapper’s lyrics with images from movies such as ‘Moonrise Kingdom,’ ‘The Fantastic Mr. Fox,’ and ‘Rushmore.’ The hilarity all seem to stem from this Tumblr page. Since we love memes (and, let’s face it, both Kanye and Wes have their charming moments), here are a few of our favorites.
