Season 4 of 'The Voice' kicks off on Monday, March 25. As a fan of the first three seasons, I've been skeptical about the fact that Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera are out and Usher and Shakira are in. It just seemed to me that no good could come from changing the fantastic chemistry the four coaches for the NBC singing competition had in previous seasons. Then I saw this promo, and the excitement is back!

Being called a 'Season 4 First Look' for The Voice, this nearly 5 minute promo got my attention and interest immediately. I can't wait to find out if a Blake Shelton-coached contestant will win for the third season in a row. I'm intrigued to find out how the new personalities will blend with Blake and fellow returning coach Adam Levine. I actually, slightly, want the weekend to come and go quickly so I can get to Monday night and watch this show.

"Maybe it doesn't really matter who's in those chairs, it's still a game that anyone wants to win." Blake Shelton points out. But there's plenty of gamesmanship with the country star, and it shows in this promo. "I'm feeling pretty confident with a couple of new coaches on board," and goes so far as to comment, "I'd just hate to see somebody as talented and beautiful as her end up as an experiment on two different coaches who've never even been on the show before.". Well played, Blake. If this video is any indication, expect Shelton and Levine to play the "rookie" card throughout the process of selecting their teams. But they're in competition, and the veteran coaches save plenty of shots for each other as well.

Overall, it looks like the chemistry on 'The Voice' is going to be as good as ever with the addition of Shakira and Usher. This competition already attracts a better collection of singing contestants than any other TV show of its kind in my opinion. Check out the 'Season 4 First Look' video here. Are you as excited as I am?
