Devin Dawson will embark on his first headlining tour later this year. The "Asking for a Friend" singer has revealed an eight-date tour running through November and December.

Titled the Stray Off Course Tour, the trek starts Nov. 1 in South Carolina and run through Dec. 15, with stops in Georgia, Michigan, New York, Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma along the way. The tour is named after a line in Dawson's song introspective "Dark Horse":

"I'll side with the outsiders / Those longshot last-round fighters / Anyone who ain't afraid to stray off course."

This One Hurts Just as Much

Dawson has spent the majority of 2018 on the road serving as an opening for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's live show, in addition to opening gigs for labelmate Brett Eldredge.

In addition to touring, the California native recently received recognition for his ability as a singer-songwriter. Dawson — who wrote all of the tracks on his 2018 debut album Dark Horse — was given the MusicRow award for Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year. The Taste of Country RISER shared his appreciation for the recognition on social media earlier this year, writing, "So honored by this award! Thank you @MusicRow for making me feel like family on these two historic streets in Nashville. Cheers!"
