The frontrunner for most fun tour of 2013 is probably the 'Locked and Reloaded Tour', featuring Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert. The two country superstars are both well known for showing concert-goers a good time with their high energy shows. So, the fact that they're teaming together all but guarantees that fun will be had by all. And Bentley is making a promise to back that up.

According to an interview at a tour preview event, Dierks told The Boot:

"It's fun, it's like a big jungle gym for adults. This is one of those tours where we have the chance to go back and relive those high school days, because we've been out with Miranda and her camp before. We wanted it to be a great tour, so I got the checkbook out and started writing checks! We have a new set and for the first time, video screens. We talked about what we wanted to do and decided to pretend it was our last tour. We wanted it to be a great tour, so I got the checkbook out and started writing checks! You may be wondering how it came about that two headlining acts agreed to tour together. It was Miranda's idea. Lambert approached Bentley at a bar in Las Vegas and gave him some ideas for a collaboration. They came to the conclusion that they could mash their two existing shows into one, with some extra audio and video elements to bring it all together.

Bentley says the video portions give them the chance to personalize the show for each tour stop. The plan is to incorporate video from each city, with the hopes that fans will respond to in a particular way:

"I want them to have a good time and get drunk, but I want them to cry too!"

Bentley and Lambert aren't the only stars hitting the stage on this run. Additional performers joining the 'Locked and Reloaded Tour' include Lee Brice, Randy Houser and Thomas Rhett (all of whom have played in Abilene in the past 14 months) in various cities. Bentley says the fact that all of the performers are friends makes for a better experience for both the performers and the fans.

"When the people on the ticket are good friends and the camps are good friends, it becomes an organic and fun tour."

The Locked and Reloaded Tour kicked off January 17th, and features a March 7th stop in Witchita Falls, Texas. Get ticket information here.
