Whoever said marriage is a prison was onto something.

A 32-year-old man in Tuscany under house arrest for selling drugs recently asked police to let him finish his sentence in jail so he could get away from his wife.

Authorities said the man had simply had enough:

Living with his wife was particularly difficult and unbearable.”

Apparently, Mr. Drug Dealer had grown fed up with arguing with his better half and begged to be placed in a cell, meaning this union is on shakier ground than some other unstable ones.

The cops, perhaps sensing his pain, quickly granted him his wish. It’s not clear how long he will remain incarcerated, but we get the feeling he may be the first prisoner who goes before the parole board requesting not to be set free.
