Eli Young Band are back with a new single and video that celebrate our armed forces and the sacrifices they make. The group have dropped "Love Ain't" in advance of Memorial Day weekend.

The celebrated country group's new video for "Love Ain't" tells the true-life story of military veteran Taylor Morris and his wife, Danielle. Morris became a quadruple amputee in 2012 after getting caught in an explosion in Afghanistan, and his then-girlfriend dropped everything in her life to stand by him as he began the recovery process.

The video begins with a voiceover narration about their inspirational story, and it gives a timeline of their relationship through private photos — first of the couple in earlier, carefree times, then of Morris in full gear overseas, and finally segueing into pictures of her standing by his hospital bed after he has been injured.

Country Songs That Honor Fallen Soldiers

The back half of the video shows Morris' determined fight through physical rehab and learning to use new prosthetics, with Danielle never far from his side.

The song takes its title from the idea that "love ain't always easy ... but that's when it matters most." The video — and the couple's story — is far from a fairytale, but it has a happy ending that is all the more uplifting for having been so hard-earned. Eli Young Band teamed with the Wounded Warriors Project for the video, and it's a cause that's deeply personal to them. All of the band members have family members who are career servicemen, and the group have traveled to bases in and outside of the United States, most recently to Japan and Germany.
