The 21st annual Abilene Spectacular returns to the Taylor County Expo Center today and continues through the 12th. There will be lots in store for participants, like $264,000 added and great cutting horse shows for the public.

The event has been presented to Abilene for 21 years now by Pat and Carolyn Gully who own and operate the Gully Ranch/Productions in Novice. The event is totally run by the Gully family. Carolyn, along with daughters, Coleta and Ginger handle the promotion and operation side of things while Pat handles cattle activities. This event brings millions of dollars to our city every year.

This years event includes a new Equipride unlimited amateur class the 11th and 12th. There will also be a social, auction and dinner coming up on Saturday the 5th. The event is a beautiful display of horsemanship and is open to the public.
