I had only heard about it, and I think I’ve got a daughter that participates in this insane retail ritual called “Extreme Couponing,” but I recently found myself stranded behind two ladies who took nearly 30 minutes just to check out at the local Wal-Mart Super Center. I tried to move to the only other checkout that was open at 2 in the morning, but there was another extreme couponer (her friend) in that lane as well. What I saw was eye opening and unbelievable, nearly $400.00 in groceries and the young lady only paid $77 after her coupons.

After I got home I decided I would check into the extreme coupon ritual on the internet and low and behold there are websites that cater to this retail phenomena, wherein one only pays a fraction of the original price. Then my boss forwarded an email from a gentleman that is a “stay-at-home dad” and a member of a local stay at home dads network that does extreme couponing too. The man even shared the email addresses to a couple of the groups favorite sites;  Coupongirl.com, Coupons.com and Couponcodes.com. I’ve checked them out and they are a good source for coupons and online discount codes too. There’s also a website that offers half-price deals and I talk about it everyday it’s called Seize the Deal, I hope that these tips will help you save some money.
