As part of Taste of Country's RISERS series, Farewell Angelina recorded a cover of the song "The House of the Rising Sun." Readers can press play above to watch.

Farewell Angelina's "The House of the Rising Sun" cover opens up with the sounds of the four women's beautiful instruments, including twin fiddles, before their powerful vocals start ringing out. The song is a great match for the emotion behind each of their voices, and that's only amplified by their extreme prowess on a variety of instruments. Part of what makes Farewell A -- Nicole Witt, Andrea Young, Lisa Torres and Lauren Lucas -- stand out is each member's ability to create a unique sound when she sings alone, yet blend their voices so completely when they harmonize.

A traditional folk song, "The House of the Rising Sun" has been covered by, among others, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and the Animals. Bob Dylan has also performed the song -- appropriate, given that Farewell Angelina take their name from a song of his.

“He wrote ["Farewell Angelina"] when he was in the transformational period of his career, switching from folk music to more of a pop sound, and Joan Baez covered it and made it famous [while] undergoing that same transformation,” Young explains, “so it seemed like it was fitting for us.”
