Rhett Akins has been writing songs for over twenty years, so when his son Thomas Rhett gets his first No.1 with "It Goes Like This" (a song they co-wrote) and the song stays at No.1 three weeks in a row, father and son speak up about their success. Another interesting fact, they both co-wrote five of the top ten songs on the current country music charts.

There have been several father son combinations (Hank and Hank Jr, Merle and Marty, Waylon and Shooter and others) in country music over the years, but never has there been a father/son combo wherein both wrote five of the top ten.

"I mean, that's a dream come true for any songwriter or artist, but even more of a dream come true when it happens with your own son," Akins said. "That's never happened in the history of music that we can figure out so far. That's probably the highlight of my 20 years of being in Nashville, for sure." Source: MSN Entertainment
