Garth Brooks Plans His Return to Anaheim, Calif.
For the first time in 20 years, Garth Brooks has plans to play Anaheim, Calif. The singer's World Tour will stop in the city in mid-September.
Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood will perform at Anaheim's Honda Center on Sept. 16 and 17 at 7PM, and on Sept. 18 at 7:30PM, as part of Brooks' current World Tour. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale on July 29 at 10AM PT through Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000. Tickets will cost $64.73, plus a $4 facility fee and a $6.25 service charge, for a total of $74.98, and a limit of eight tickets per purchase will be in effect.
The 2016 leg of Brooks’ tour kicked off in Florida in mid-January. The country superstar recently performed two shows at New York City’s Yankee Stadium, and has concerts scheduled in San Antonio, Texas, and Shreveport-Bossier City, La., in the coming weeks.
Brooks’ most recent studio album is 2014's Man Against Machine. The singer had plans for a follow-up album in 2015 or 2016, but that project has since been delayed so that he can work on writing what he calls “the most Garth thing I have ever done.” Beginning Sept. 8, Brooks will launch his own SiriusXM satellite radio channel, featuring a playlist of music from Brooks and the artists who influenced him; Brooks-hosted shows and behind-the-scenes commentary; and live concert recordings, other rarities and shows hosted by the singer’s friends and fans.
