Garth Brooks has been announced to headline the first-ever concert at Atlanta's brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The country superstar and wife Trisha Yearwood will bring their show to Atlanta on Oct. 12, 2017, giving fans in Atlanta their first chance to experience a concert spectacle at the new venue.

"I’m thrilled to be back in Atlanta and honored to play the first concert in Mercedes-Benz Stadium,” Brooks says in a press release. “I’ve visited the stadium twice in the last month and all I can say is — the fans are going to love it; it’s truly one-of-a-kind. We’re going to create a special experience the fans will never forget and I can’t wait to light that place up this fall!"

Country Music Tours Hitting the Road in 2017

Tickets for the Atlanta show are set to go on sale Friday, June 30, at 10AM via Ticketmaster online, or by calling 800-745-3000. For more information about the concert, visit the venue's website.

Brooks embarked on his current World Tour in 2014 after years of self-imposed retirement while he raised his kids, and the shows have been ultra-successful, consistently placing him at the top of the box office in country music. Forbes recently named Brooks the top-earning country artist of the last year, raking in $60 million, most of which derived from live dates.

"Mercedes-Benz Stadium is focused on delivering an unmatched guest experience to everyone who enters the building," says Tim Zulawski, SVP and chief commercial officer, AMB Sports and Entertainment. "It was important for us to not only find an artist who could deliver the biggest show in the world, but also has the same fan-focused ideals. We know the best artist who can deliver and that is Garth Brooks."
