Garth Brooks is being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the ‘Modern Era Artist’ category. Brooks set many records in music sales, concert attendance, ticket sales, awards won and the list goes on. It’s been said that Garth catapulted country music into ‘modern times’. Two other artists will join Garth as inductees.

Brooks will be joined by Hargus “Pig” Robbins in the Musician category and Connie Smith in the ‘Veterans Era Artist’ category.

Kyle Young the director of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum said, “Garth is receiving the honor because he’s taken the country music genre to new venues and new heights, engaging fans with his unparalleled mix of showmanship, theatricality and musical talent, all while never losing sight of country music’s roots.”
