Gary Allan is the champion once again in the Taste of Country Showdown, but he's up against a really tough challenge from Thomas Rhett today and Thursday.

Allan's new single is "Do You Wish It Was Me?," which he previewed for fans during a hot set at the Taste of Country Music Festival on Sunday (June 12). It's the first song from a new project he has completed and handed in, and it's a prime example of why many consider his voice one of the sexiest in country music.

Rhett's new single is "Vacation," and while it's certain to inflame those who like to protest that any given song or artist "isn't country," the heavily pop-influenced track is such infectious fun that it may very well turn into the theme song for the summer of 2016. Only one of these songs can move on to another Showdown round.

Listen to clips of both Allan’s and Rhett's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Friday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will face a new challenger on Friday.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
