Grammy Winner Mark O’Connor to Play for Abilene’s Revolution Strings
Grammy award winning, violinist, composer Mark O'Connor and the Cooper, Abilene High music group Revolution Strings are hosting a dinner and concert. The event will be at the Silverado Ranch in south Abilene on March 28th. Tickets for this are very limited.
The musical group, Revolution Strings from both Cooper and Abilene High School will be touring Europe this summer. O'Connor will perform a private concert for Revolution in order to help them raise the money needed to pay for their European trip.
Revolution will tour Spain, France, England and Scotland in July as part of the League of Astonishing Strings. Revolution will give 10 performances alongside their Canadian counterparts, The Calgary Fiddlers.
Each Revolution student must raise nearly $4,000, bringing the group's total to $88,000. Here's how to get tickets to this awesome event and help the kids out.
